The papers contain a letter, 1812, from Edmund Randolph, Winchester, Va., to an unidentified recipient, concerning his poor health and business affairs in Richmond. The papers also contain a small pocket account book, 1854, of John Charles Randolph Taylor and his 1832 commonplace book of "Scraps" from novels and poetry. The papers also contain electrostatic copies of a handwritten Randolph family genealogy, a handwritten chart, and a portion of an oversized circular genealogical chart of the family of Page Taylor Kirk (original of the latter in 5533-e).

Edmund Jennings Randolph (August 10, 1753 – September 12, 1813) was an American attorney and politician. He was the 7th Governor of Virginia, and, as a delegate from Virginia, he attended the Constitutional Convention and helped to create the national constitution while serving on its Committee of Detail.
